Wilma M. Schmudlach, 91, most recently of Waupun, formerly of Beaver Dam, passed away, Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Oak Park Place in Menasha, WI with family by her side.

Wilma was born May 15, 1926 in Dalton, WI the daughter of Harold and Thelma (Haffa) Hill. Wilma graduated from Montello schools in 1944 and on December 24, 1945 she married her high school sweetheart, Rhynold Schmudlach in San Francisco where she was waiting for him to return from the war. In 1946 they returned to Montello to be near family and to raise their children. For most of Wilma's life she was a stay at home mom. When all of her children were in school she began to work at the Singer store in Beaver Dam. After retirement, Wilma and Rhynold made their home in Green Valley, AZ. Wilma loved to play shuffleboard and cards. She was very involved with her church.

Wilma is survived by her children: Vicki (Jerry) Belleville of Waupun, Julianne Hein-Swaab of Neenah, Steven (Diane) Schmudlach of Oshkosh, and Scott (Julie) Schmudlach of New Ulm, MN; eight grandchildren: Shawn, Greg, Travis, Jason, Kristen, Ben, Joe, and Maggie; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger (Janet) Hill of Texas; and nieces and nephews.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Rhynold, in 2009; son-in-law, Laurence Swaab; and a brother, Ken Hill.

Memorial services for Wilma Schmudlach will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Waupun with Pastor Dave Cooper officiating. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Saturday at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service.
