Donna Pittenger, 83, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, May 9, 2025, at her residence under the care of Vivie Hospice.
Donna Jean Sturm was born December 27, 1942, to Leonard and Viola (Graff) Sturm in Palatine, IL. She attended Quentin Elementary School and Ela Vernon High School in Lake Zurich, IL, graduating in 1960.
On September 24, 1960, Donna married John Pittenger at St. Peter Church in Lake Zurich, IL.
She was an Inter-Office Auditor at First Federal Bank in Barrington, IL. Donna was a lifetime member of Ducks Unlimited. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and all outdoor activities.
Preceding her in death was her sister, Joanne Chiccarello.
Donna is survived by her husband, John Pittenger of Fergus Falls; her children, Scott Pittenger and Michael (Jane) Pittenger all of Ingleside, IL; grandson, John Michael of Fergus Falls; sisters, Gloria Paul and Lynn Miller; brother and sister-in-law, Jim (June) Pittenger, and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Celebration of Life Gathering: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2025, at Olson Funeral and Cremation in Fergus Falls.
