James Tennant Obituary

James D. Tennant age 94, died peacefully on Friday August 22, 2025 at the Clifton Springs Hospital Nursing Home. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday (Aug. 28) 11am at the Seneca Castle United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Wissick officiating. It is requested that memorial donations be made to Seneca Castle United Methodist Church PO Box 151 Seneca Castle NY 14547. Mr. Tennant was born on December 13, 1930 in Geneva, NY the son of the late James and Della Shires Tennant. He was a member of the Seneca Castle United Methodist Church for over 60 years. He retired from Perkin Elmer as a Manufacturing Executive. Mr. Tennant enjoyed food and gathering with family and friends. He was an avid NY Mets fan. Most important was his bond with his family and the quality time they spent together. He is survived by his daughters Brenda (Gary) Mosher of Phelps Marcia (Kevin) Mussack of Seneca Castle Julie Milliken of Clifton Springs Grandchildren Sheryl Denniston Rachel (Joshua) Peck Andrew (Sarah) Mussack Nicole Vehec Ashley (Robert) Kline Great-grandchildren Abbey, Tyler, Carter, Louie, Hunter, Mason, Anna, Samantha and Owen Sister in law Dorothy Tennant of Lafayette, NY Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Betty, brother Robert and sister Gwen. Mr. Tennant's family would like to thank the staff at Clifton Springs Nursing Home for not only caring for him, but caring about him and loving him as one of their own.
