Peter Rice Obituary

Peter Robert "Pete" Rice, 62, of Boonville passed away Tuesday evening March 14 at his home with his family by his side.
Visitation was at Davis Funeral Chapel on Sunday, March 19. Funeral Services were Monday, March 20 at Davis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randy Fisher officiating. Burial was in the Centralia City Cemetery with full military honors.
Peter Robert Rice was born June 20, 1954 in Moberly the son of Orlando Rice and Lorraine Theresa Rice. Pete served his country with pride from 1971 to 1976 in the Army while doing tours in Germany and Hawaii. He married Brigitte Denise LeBeau on Feb. 23, 2002 in Bellair, Mo. He loved going for motorcycle rides and he loved to mow, as he mowed the whole sycamore street neighborhood. His passion was selling cars, Pete never met a stranger and could have you buying a car and you didn't even know it. He last worked for Joe Machens Hyundai as sales manager. Most of all his love was for his family especially all of grandchildren and for his Shiba Inu dogs.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, William Lee Rice and son, Kris S. Rice. He is survived by his wife Brigitte of the home, sons, Josh Rice and wife Shelly and Clifford Rice and wife Kori, daughters, Lorraine Rice, Melissa Rice Sleeper and husband Shawn, Krystle Denny, Adrianna Martin and daughter-in-law Leaha Benjamin. Also surviving are his sisters, Rossitta Titus and husband Robert and Melinda Jackson and husband Robert. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Peter, Kamryn, Micaiah, Elijah, Grayson, Elizabeth Austin, Allison and Jeremy Rice, Josiah, Jayla and Sienna Griffith, Hayden and Emma Sleeper, Abby and Brittany Gander and a great-granddaughter, Fay Marie Ostrander.
In Lieu of flowers the family request memorial contribution be made to: the family for their choice.

I knew Pete Rice well. In every respect he was a good person and a great and fun person to work with. I know he was devoted to his family and friends. People like Pete can't be replaced , but they left a great example to follow, if you have the courage to follow it.

Pete was my best friend we served together in Germany and we meet up again in 1988. I will truely miss him my sympathy and prayers go out to the family
