TOWNSEND: Elizabeth M. "Betty" (Riedel) Senechal, 93, of Townsend, formerly of North Andover and Lawrence, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at her home with loving family. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Joseph A. Senechal, in July 2019.

Mrs. Senechal was born in Lawrence, July 27, 1927, the beloved daughter of Edwin and Ethel (Whitehouse) Riedel and was a graduate of Johnson High School in North Andover, Class of 1945. For over 30 years, Mrs. Senechal was an executive secretary at Davis & Furber Machine Company in North Andover. Betty enjoyed golfing with her husband and friends on the Cape. She also enjoyed spending time at her trailer at Hampton Beach and always welcomed family and friends to visit. As a cat lover, she rescued many cats throughout her lifetime and gave them a good home. She leaves to her grandniece to care for her most recent rescue cat, Mr. Norman "Blue Eyes", whom she loved dearly.

She leaves her sister, Dianne Enus and her husband Tony of Townsend; three nieces, Marie Truitt and her fiance Tim Breen of Pepperell, Linda Feddersen and her husband Kurt of Townsend, Cheryl Gilmartin and her husband Jack of Fitchburg; two grandnephews, Brian Feddersen and his wife Marina of Tyngsboro and Keith Feddersen of Lancaster, NH; her grandniece, Jessica Feddersen of Townsend; as well as two great-grandnephews and two great-grandnieces. She is also survived by Madeleine Brooks and her husband David, Dianne Miranda and her husband Angelo and Kathleen Fitzgerald and her husband Bill. She was predeceased by her brother, William Riedel, of Lawrence.

Mrs. Senechal's funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 1 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street, (Rte 119) Townsend Center. A visitation period will be Tuesday from noon until the time of the service.
