LEOMINSTER -- Ramon Feliciano Castro, 98, died Thursday, January 10, 2013, of natural causes at Lifecare Center in Leominster.

He was born in La Joya Guanica, Puerto Rico on May 8, 1914, the son of the late Maria Castro, and Aquilino Feliciano Avelenda.

His death is announced by his daughter, Neddy Latimer and her husband, Jose Latimer.

He was predeceased by his wife, Amanda Biaggi Milan in 1953, and his second wife, Carmen Morales Barreto in 2009, and a daughter, Iris B. Feliciano in 1998.

Ramon is survived by his daughter, Doraida and her husband, Francisco Balaguer in Fitchburg, his son, Ramon Feleiciano and wife, Anita of Fitchburg, a daughter, Ramonita Feliciano of Puerto Rico, and daughter, Neddy Latimer and her husband, Jose of Leominster; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves several brothers, sisters, nephews, and nieces.

For many years he was a Public Chauffer in Puerto Rico, known for his giving ways he often gave people rides to their homes for little or no charge. In the South Corner of the Island, he was known as "MONCHO". He will be sorely missed and remembered by his family and friends in Fitchburg and Leominster and Puerto Rico.

CASTRO -- Calling Hours at THE CURLEY MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 89 West St., Leominster will be on Saturday, (January 12) from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Burial will take place at his family Grave in Guanica, Puerto Rico. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to: The Spanish Center, 112 Spruce St., Leominster, MA 01453.
