Melbourne, FL
Daniel Joseph Labriola, 81, of Melbourne, FL, journeyed into heaven on March 24, 2017. Daniel was a US Army veteran and worked for many years in a Home Improvement Company before opening up his own business. He retired in 1997 while living in Old Lyme, CT and moved to Melbourne Florida leaving behind many memories and friends.
Daniel was a loving husband for 59 years to Margaret Riccio Labriola and leaves behind four children all residing in CT, Maryann Labriola, Daniel (Michelle) Labriola, Patricia (Eric) Novak, Michael Labriola; brother, Vito (Shirley); 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by one grandchild, sister and brother-in-law, Caroline (George) Waterous.
Daniel has touch the lives of so many people throughout his life. Everyone that knew him, would have a story they shared with Dan.
He was very active in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Melbourne, FL. His friendships in Florida became like family to Dan and Margaret. Dan was knowledgeable, dependable and always ready to help. He will be sorely missed by all who have the privilege to know him. May God carry him now.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 11, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Joe and I were certainly sad to hear about Dan's death. He was such a wonderfully humorous, caring man. We'll never forget his "back and forths" with my Dad, John Ward. They certainly had a special bond.
We hope your move to Connecticut will make your life without Dan a little easier.

Growing up with the Labriola's as neighbors has given me special memories. His youngest daughter was my best friend.My parents were friends with Dan No Marge as well. Marge and Dan lived one town away in Melbourne from my parents.
They occasionally would visit.
Earth lost an awesome man, but Heaven gained an angel.

Danny was a wonderful,thoughtful and good hearted guy.He was a lot of fun.I worked beside Danny as a Constable in Old Lyme Ct in The Old Lyme Police Dept.We had many good times together with picnics with our families.We will miss you Danny and you are now soaring with the Angels.May you RIP.Sending prayers to Marge and the kids.We are so sorry for your loss.
