John was always the best of buddies and the most fun of any cousin. When we were together, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves roaming the woods and creeks at my house. Climbing through construction tunnels and up trees at his house. We spent summers trying to determine the best crawdad bait and building tree houses. I always looked forward to the infrequent visits we had together as adults. The last few months of his illness as Jim, my husband and he were battling the same illness and sharing some of their thoughts, were an extra bond that I cherish. Our prayers and synpathy are with the family and friends who knew him better at the end of life and will miss him so much.

I so enjoyed John as a friend, as well as someone we did "builder business" with, too.
John & Larry built the first home that CJ & I shared, and we loved them when it was done, too (not a typical experience). So sorry to hear that Melbourne and our world will miss a great man, father, husband and friend.
John was one of the nicest guys who ever beat me in racquetball (there are a LOT of people who beat me, but John was one of the kindest, with the most class). ken

It was my pleasure to have cross paths with John during a few phases in our lives. I played softball with him for awhile, and I also played raquetball with him. My life was made richer by having known him.

Marcia and Family:
Growing up in eastern Missouri, we were always going to visit Aunt Alma and Uncle Cecil at their place in St. Louis or their place in Desoto OR they were coming to visit us at my grandparents' farm in Horine OR we were gathering at Aunt Ruth's place in Desoto. The highlight of the trip for me was always when John was also at these gatherings. John always took the time to visit with me and talk about what was going on in my life. Our conversations most always included sports, especially baseball. John always made me feel welcome even though he was 10 years older than I was. I will miss his smile and his thoughtful conversations. Our prayers are with you and your family during this most difficult time.

To the Luhn Family:
John was a great, kind man with a gentle soul for ever life he came across. He gave so much to his family, friends and community. He touched more lives in Brevard County then anyone will ever be able to count. Please take comfort that he is healed now and is always watching over you.

I have known John since he was 13 years old. (I married his older sister!) He was a wonderful brother-in-law who gave himself unstintingly to me and my sons--especially so twelve years ago when his sister was dying at age 57 of multiple myeloma. He was a wonderful guy, a very special person.

My wife and I are good friends with John's son Jake and Jodi. We had the opportunity to spend time with John on several occasions. We was a great man with a great sense of humor. We pray for the strength of the Luhn family.

The Luhn Family,
John was a great man and will be missed by many. He always came with nothing but smiles when were given the pleasure of seeing him. My sympathy is with you all in your time of mourning. We live in a beautiful Lifestyle home and met John when we first moved in. We talked about his son who is an MCC alum. Our thoughts and prayers are with you...may you find comfort in knowing he no longer suffers because God, the great physician, is tending to him now.
