It's been a month since you left us Scott and it's not getting any easier. There isn't a day that passes by that we don't think of you and miss you terribly. You brought sunshine and love to the lives you touched. In our hearts we know you are in a better place and at peace.... please help us down here to get through this, especially a very special person who loved you so very much, as you loved her. She is struggling through this and needs your help. All of us love you so much.

As already stated, Scott was a remarkable, unforgettable soul. I don't think i went more than a day last semester without my life being illuminated by his presence. I actually met Scott for the first time this time last year and in our blink of a friendship, he changed me forever. He was my friend, my confidant, and most importantly, a great brother. May he rest in peace and continue to guide us all from heaven.

Scott was an amazing person. I dont know how he found time to do anything because he was always helping people and being an amazing friend. He didnt owe it to me because he didnt know me that well but he made it a point to get to know me and to become my friend. I consider Scott a good friend of mine. He was always there for help or anything and always had only the best interests for me to do good. He will be missed. I love you Scott.

Paul, Emily and Greg,
There are no words that can adequately express my sorrow for you. Scott was an incredible person and role model for so many with everything he did...his missionary work in Jamaica and Haiti impacted so many lives. Scott's smile lit up a room when he entered, as he did so many times at my home. He loved my daughter and she loved him. She always will remember his smile, his laughter, his hugs, but most of all the happiness he brought her. He will be in her heart and our hearts forever. May God hold him in the palm of His hand and may God carry your family through this most difficult time.
With much love and prayers, Missie Cannon-Valencia

Scott was one of a kind. He always found the time to help you if you had any problems of any sort. Although I only had the privilage of knowing Scott for one semester, I knew him long enough to know that he was my friend, my ally, and my brother. I will always remember Scott as the caring and uplifting human being he was.
I love you Scott.

I watched Scott grow from a shy, uncertain and timid boy his freshman year to a confident, talented and happy young man his senior year at MCC. He was always quick to lend a helping hand. He was one of my best students. I will always remember his smile as he walked in the room. My prayers are with you.

My heart ached when I heard Friday morning about Scott's death. What a blow to your beautiful family. Words seem so inadequate, but this letter comes from my heart filled with love and sympathy on the loss of your beloved son. Scott was a vibrant, energetic, talented young man. When he would visit you at Suntree, he was always smiling and joking with you - what a handsome young man. All of the Suntree family would talk about their children, especially you. Your two sons were always a source of pride for you and Emily. I know you will miss Scott deeply and I want you to know that you have my sympathy and my friendship. I would be grateful if you would turn to me for any help I might give. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Fondly, Marty Elliott

Hey Scotty. Its hard to believe your gone. Remember classes my sophomore year? We had Cutshaw tgether and we used to talk about everrrything. You would call me Brandon and I would get so flustered about it, but it was kinda your thing. You were always a great friend to me, and I never heard differently from anyone else. I wish we had stayed in touch in the last year and a half, but the memories I do have of you will always make me smile.
<3 Rest in Peace buddy, and thanks for being a great friend.
