Andrew Loren Obituary
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 South Main Street in Ovid. A prayers of committal with Fr. Bart Minson, OFMCap and military honors will then be held at 10:30 a.m. at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Romulus.
In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Seneca Co. EDC, 1 DiPronio Drive, Waterloo, NY 13165.
Andy was born on July 26, 1968 in Ilion, a son of the late James C. and Marlene (May) Loren. He graduated from Mohawk Central School, and then proudly served in the US Air Force from 1988 to 1998 during the Persian Gulf War. Upon returning from his military duty, he worked at Remington Arms in Ilion. Andy was a proud member of the NRA, and found great comfort in visiting disabled veterans and was very proud of his son's military career, also in the Air Force. After a hospitalization at the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua, Andy made his home in Geneva.
He is survived by his son; Andrew J. (Ashley) Loren, USAF Guam; his siblings, Patrick Loren of Ilion, Patricia (Robert) Battisti of St. Johnsville, and Jerry Loren of Cedar Hill, Texas; several nieces and nephews along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

To Andy's family, please know that Andy is in a better place now, no more pain and suffering. He Is at peace with " his life" now, as he used to put it. Andy was one the deepest and intricate men I ever met. He sure was blessed with the gift of gab. He will be missed by so many. " Andy, you have your wings now.......FLY."

I had the great pleasure of being one of Andy's friends. He was a very deep and intricate man. One of the nicest guys I have had the pleasure of meeting. He certainly had the gift of gab..... I will miss him immensely. To you, his family, know that he is in a better place now, and he is at peace with " his life" as he put it. " Andy, you have your wings now........ FLY. "

To the family of Andy,
My heart just aches to see a longtime friend pass. I know there is no more suffering,but the loss of a dear friend aches. Andy always knew how to make me laugh, going all the way back to high school. He has an amazing son that I know he was so proud of. I will never forget all the good times we had growing up in Mohawk. God has a plan for you Andy, so until we meet again my friend. God Bless
