Seneca Falls - Anna Romeo, 96, formerly of State St., Seneca Falls, N.Y., died Monday (Decem ber 9, 2013) at St. Joseph's Hospital skilled Nursing Facility, Elmira, N.Y. Family and friends may attend her Memorial Mass on Friday (December 13) at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 97 W. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours. Anna was born in Seneca Falls, N.Y. on May 19, 1917, the daughter of the late Bernardino & Maria Cinquegrana Colella. She was a life resident of Seneca Falls prior to her move to Elmira, N.Y., near her son. She was a secretary in the dental office of her husband, the late Angelo Romeo, DDS. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls and the Seneca Falls Historical Society. She was a former member of the S.M.S. Auxiliary & the Seneca Falls Country Club.
She is survived by: her son, Dominic (Bernadette) Romeo M.D. of Elmira, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Dominic A. Romeo and Maria Romeo Livingston; three great-grandchildren, Dominic Angelo Romeo, Rossi Ring Livingston, and Grace Elizabeth Romeo; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by her husband, Angelo Romeo, DDS on November 9, 2003; two sisters, Pauline Sinicropi and Rose Colavito; three brothers, Gabriel, Paul, & Vincent "Jimmy" Colella.
