Beverly A. Gary

DUNDEE – Beverly A. Gary, age 69, of Dundee, N.Y. died Wednesday
(July 26, 2017) at Keuka Comfort Care Home, in Penn Yan, N.Y.

Friends are invited to calling hours from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday
(July 31) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee, where her
funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles
officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Keuka Comfort
Care Home, P.O. Box, 107, Penn Yan, NY 14527 or to Pathway Home of the
Finger Lakes P.O. Box 516 Seneca Falls, NY 13148.

Beverly was born April 23, 1948 in Corning, New York, the daughter of the
late Alfred J. and Susie V. Johns Harkness. A lifelong area
resident, having worked in the vineyards, and at Chef?s Diner long
ago. She accepted a position at Dundee Central School where she
retired from in 2008. On November 18, 2000 in Dundee, N.Y. she
married the late Earl G. Gary, who passed away on March 1, 2017.
Mrs. Gary was a former member of the Wayne Baptist Church, loved her
little dogs, and enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley music.

She is loved and will be missed by her son, Daniel J. Dykes; and two
daughters Melody A. (Keith McLoud) Jefferson, and Mechelle L. (Paul)
Davis, all of Dundee; eight grandchildren Miriah and Haley Jefferson,
Ahren Albee, Brianna and Alex Dykes, Caleb Fulkrod, Christopher Davis, and
Jordan Dykes; a brother-in-law, Alfred Lawrence of Wayne, N.Y.; along with
several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Craig A.
Dykes on December 1, 2010; a sister, Stella Lawrence on May 16, 2009; and
the fathers of her children Alvin R. Dykes on February 23, 2000 and Phil
Lewis on February 21, 2017.
