Bruce Moore Obituary
Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday (October 4) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home, 45 High St., Geneva. Members of the Hydrant Hose Company will meet at the funeral home at 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday (October 5) at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Geneva General Hospital Dialysis Unit, 196 North St. Geneva, NY 14456.
Bruce was born on December 4, 1949, in Geneva, the son of the late James and Ruth Allen Moore and graduated from Geneva High School.
Bruce retired after over 30 years working in the Print Shop at the NYS Agricultural Experiment Station. He then went on to Become the 4th Career Fire Chief for the City of Geneva Fire Department until his retirement.
He was a life member of the Hydrant Hose Company of the Geneva Fire Department, serving in many positions including Fire Commissioner and Assistant Fire Chief. He was a member and served on the committee of the Finger Lakes Ducks Unlimited Geneva Chapter, National Wild Turkey Federation and the NYS Association of Fire Chief's. Bruce loved exploring the country on his motorcycle, traveling out west and hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Grace; son, Bruce (Amanda) Moore, Jr. of Geneva; grandchildren Nicholas Luongo of Geneva, Hailey Luongo of Geneva and Collin Moore of Geneva; son-in-law, Jeff Luongo of Geneva; and his sister, Barbara Moore of Saratoga.
Bruce was predeceased by his daughter, Loraine Luongo.

Bruce served on our Flint Creek Small Watershed Board as an uncleared muckland owner. He was always a gentleman and a very positive member. He will be missed. I send the boards condolences.

Bruce was the printer at Geneva Agri-Tech, formerly the NYSAES. I have many pleasant memories of working and interacting with him there. He was both competent as well as personable.........a winning combination. He is missed.............
