Dale Progno Obituary
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday (March 30) 10 a.m. at St. Francis Church in Phelps. Rev. Donald Curtiss will officiate.
The family request the courtesy of no flowers. Memorial donations may be made to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke, Duke University Medical Center, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710.
Mrs. Progno was born on June 20, 1942 in Clifton Springs, N.Y. the daughter of the late Ovid and Elizabeth Oaks Randall. She owned and operated Dale's Beauty Salon in Phelps for many years. Her favorite pastimes were to spend time with all of her grandchildren, grandnieces, and grandnephews, she was a power shopper, and the luckiest on the slot machines. Her spirit was tough and adventurous loving and patient.
She is survived by her loving Husband of 45 years, John Progno; two children, Danielle (Patrick) Lindner of Kennett Square Pennsylvania, Christopher (Lisa) Progno of Palmyra; three grandchildren, Zachary, Christina and Natalie Lindner; brother, Ovid (Bobbie) Randall of Clifton Springs; two sisters, Sherry (Don) Wilkes of Phelps, Candy (Jack) Jones of Canandaigua; aunt, Berta Holmes of N.C.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral arrangements have been made with Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps.
