Daniel Joseph Everett

1990 - 2023

WATERLOO– Daniel Joseph Everett passed away unexpectedly on Monday (November 13th 2023).

Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday (November 25), at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 West Main St, Waterloo, N.Y. The memorial service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday (November 25), at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, N.Y., 13165.

Dan was born on October 3,1990 in Watertown, N.Y., the son of Gregory and Raeann Cooke Everett. At the age of 16, he started volunteering at Beverly's Animal Shelter in Waterloo, N.Y. and soon became a full-time employee, making a life out of his passion. Dan was a huge animal activist and enjoyed helping abused and unloved dogs and cats. Throughout his time there, he adopted a few of those special dogs: Scrappy and his "ride or die" Frack. Dan also loved the outdoors. His favorite pass time was fishing with his father, two brothers and his son. Many of these fishing trips are still cherished.

Dan's greatest accomplishment in life was his 3 beautiful children. Dan loved to watch his son play football and baseball, astonished by how well he played, and had the opportunity to see his freshman son make the varsity football team at Mynderse Academy in 2023. His daughters started cheerleading and playing softball; he loved watching his beautiful little girls do so well.

If Dan was out and about in the community, he loved to say, "hello" to everyone. He would not hesitate to help someone in need. For his family and friends, he was only a phone call away. Dan loved life and loved life to the fullest. He will be truly missed by so many, his beautiful smile radiating throughout our memories.

Daniel is survived by his children, son Camryn (mother Leslie) and daughters Taviana and Rosaliyah; father Gregory (Valerie) Everett; mother Raeann (Garry Heath) Everett; brothers David (Rachelle) Everett and Andrew (Caitlyn) Everett; grandmothers Shaura Everett and Evelyn Cooke; niece Riley Everett; Ashley Bourne; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends.
