David Dewall Obituary

WATERLOO - David A. DeWall, 82, he went home to glory Wednesday (August 9, 2023) at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo, N.Y., after a long illness.

In keeping with the wishes of the family, the calling hours and service will be private. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256

David was born June 20, 1941, in Waterloo, N.Y., the son of Lawrence W. and Anna Belle Nearpass DeWall. He was a 1960 graduate of Waterloo Central High School. He owned and operated his family dairy farm in Oakes, N.D. He also was a long-haul truck driver. His main love was his farming career. He was a longtime member of the Seneca Falls Baptist Church and served in prison ministries.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Judith A. Forjone DeWall; sons, David R. DeWall of Goshen, N.Y., Bryan (Anita Quigley) DeWall of Marietta, Ohio, Jarrod (Jaime) DeWall of Waterloo, N.Y., Jason DeWall of Troutville, Va., and Eric DeWall of Albamare, N.C.; grandchildren, Matthew, Jeremy, Capri, Scott, Colin, Caroline, and Blake DeWall; and many nieces and nephews.

David was predeceased by siblings, Lawrence M., Anna Marie, George, and David's twin sister, Dorothy DeWall.
