Dorothy Polzinetti Obituary

Seneca Falls- Dorothy H. Polzinetti, 84, passed away peacefully Wednesday, (January 15, 2014). Friends and family are invited to call Monday, (January 20), from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, (January 21) at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary's Church, 35 Center Street, Waterloo.
Dorothy requested memorial contributions be directed to either; Saint Mary's Church or Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 East River, Waterloo NY 13165.
Dorothy was born on September 29, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of the late Edward Griswold Hill (of Seneca Falls) and Helga Cecelia Lindh (of Halmstead Sweden). Dorothy grew up in Long Island, a 1947 graduate from Baldwin High School. She continued her education at St. John's University and St. Mary Immaculate Hospital School Medical Technology. She worked as a Registered ASCP Medical Technician at St. Mary Immaculate Hospital, Jamaica NY, Norwegian Lutheran Medical Center and Victory Memorial Hospital both in Brooklyn, NY. Dorothy married Dr. Mario Polzinetti in 1957. In 1966 they relocated from Brooklyn to Seneca Falls. She was a Co-Founder of Birthright of Seneca County, a member of the Board of Directors of DeSales High School and member of the Seneca Falls Country Club.
She is survived by her four daughters, Dorothy Lind of Ontario Canada, Maria Golonski of Atlantic Beach, Fla., Jeanette (James) Bruso of Michigan and Lisa (Peter) Galvin of Penn.; her sons, John (Angela) of Ohio and Mark (Karen) of New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Daniel (Rebecca), Aaron (Shelly), Lynde and Benjamin Norton, Dakotah and Lilibeth Williamson, Nicole and Kyle Golonski, Aidan, Kendall, Zoe, Liam and Jude Galvin, Gabrielle and Eric Diaz, Jacob Polzinetti, James (Melissa) and Paul (Tammy) Bruso; Great grandchildren, Elizabeth Bruso, Taylore, Alyson, and Harmony Parkinson, Dylan, Kimberly Bruso and Kayden.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Dr. Mario Polzinetti, whom passed away in 1997, her brother Dr. Robert C. Hill who passed away in 1995; her sister-in-laws, Thelma Polzinetti who passed away in 2005 and Martha Polzinetti who passed away 2013.
