E. Davidson Obituary

LODI -E. Lee Davidson, age 75, of Townsendville Road, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 23, 2021.
Lee was born in Thayer, MO on October 15, 1945, the only son of Elbert and Ethel (Wynn) Davidson. He enjoyed his work as a truck driver, and retired as the terminal manager for Buckeye Pipeline (formerly Agway) in Geneva. Lee proudly served his Lodi community as Town Supervisor for 12 years, from 2007-2019. Lee and Mary were fortunate to have a large celebration of family and friends for their 50th anniversary, the Saturday prior to his death.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary, his children; Catherine (Philip) Williammee of Groton, Lena (Timothy) Wilson of Arcadia, Walter L. Davidson of Peterstown, WV, his grandchildren; Ashley (Justin) Hansen of Dryden and Sabrina (Jonathan) Sornberger of Newfield, his nephews and his wife's large extended family. Lee was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Simpson and Doris Schuster.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 29th at Covert Funeral Home on Main Street in Ovid. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church on Orchard Street in Interlaken. Prayers of committal will be held at West Lodi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation in Lee's memory to the Lodi Fire Department, PO Box 299, Lodi, NY 14860. Lee was a great person to work with and a good friend to talk with about anything even politics. Rachel was just looking at pictures of us at fairgrounds building the horse rink and dad and shaking hands. These are in 4-H office.

Dear Mary,

I'm so sorry to hear of Lee's passing. Given these Covid times, we haven't been out and about much and so I've missed seeing you both, but he was such a nice and funny guy! He always made me smile. Those 50 years will hold you in many memories.
