Elizabeth Pappert Obituary
The family will greet friends from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, (June 21), at Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home, 19 North Main Street, Manchester, N.Y. 14504. Betty's graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, (June 22), at St. Rose Cemetery, Shortsville Road, Shortsville, N.Y. 14548.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to a favorite charity of your own choice in memory of Betty,
Betty was born to the late Leonard James and Olga Elizabeth (Johnson) Peters on Friday, May 6, 1938, in Shortsville, N.Y. She spent her life in the area and attended Red Jacket High School. Betty worked as a teacher's aide in the special education department and was a longtime championship cheerleading coach at the school until her retirement. She was an excellent cook who loved entertaining at home, often hosting Monday Night Football pizza parties for her children. In her spare time, Betty enjoyed bowling, was an avid reader, and loved playing Euchre. One of her greatest joys was their property on Hickory Lake, where she created cherished memories with family and the "mountain gang."
Elizabeth will be remembered by her children Jac (Danielle) Pappert, Robert (Kathleen) Pappert and Donna (Robert) Clemente; grandchildren Danielle, Krystal, Nichole, Brendan, Nicholas, Alexandra and Natalie; great-grandchildren, Caiden, Ethan, Noah, Gavin, Titus, Leo and Breanna; daughter-in-law, Kathrin Berg; sister-in-law, Annie Peters; brother-in-law, Bernard D'Arduini; many nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Gary in 2023; a daughter, Debra; a grandson, Chad Pappert; her sisters Katherine McCallum, Shirley D'Arduini and Alice French; brothers Howard (Ruth) Peters, Robert Peters.
