Eric Lafler Obituary
Eric is survived by his wife, Jessica Lafler; children, Derek Lafler, Essence and Eliana Mitchell, Patricia Lafler; stepmother, Georgia Lafler; his sisters, Kimberly and Joshua Jones, Charlotte and Frank Fatigati; step siblings Beth and Chris Montemorano, Shawnda and Paul Northrup, Kevin & Nicole Anstee, and Mark Goodrich; aunts and uncles, Susie and Dennis Caves, Richard and Gail Sherman, Michelle and Doug Smith, and Rena Reed. He also leaves his cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nephews to mourn his departure.
Eric was predeceased by his father, Robert Lafler; mother-in-law, Pricilla Ortiz; grandparents, Donald & Dorothy Sherman of Rose, N.Y.; and James & Rose Sheehan of Clyde, N.Y.
Eric was a Clyde-Savannah alumnus and attended St. John Fisher University. He served in the United States Army as an Infantryman in the 30th Army Adjutant General Battalion. He was employed at Advanced Atomization Technology, formerly Parker Hannifin, for 26 years, working as a Machinist/Group Lead.
He enjoyed playing tennis, watching NASCAR, boating, fishing with friends, and the Black Lake annual Father's Day fishing trip. His favorite places to frequent were the Little Barrel and Rich Donselaar's Garage, where they created unforgettable memories. When he wasn't with family or working, he spent time with his best friends: Rich Donselaar, Jason Ross, DeVonte Davis, and Tim Carr. Eric will be remembered for his ability to make everyone laugh, big heart, and adoration for the Dallas Cowboys and The Dave Matthews Band.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, (December 7), from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Pusateri-Canolesio Funeral Home at 68 Sodus St. Clyde, N.Y. The graveside service will be held on Friday, (December 8), at 1 p.m. in the Rose Cemetery. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Clyde Ambulance and the Clyde VFW instead of flowers.
