I can´t believe it´s been 14 years. I have so many good memories with you. All the laughs at work. Talking about the Yankees and cheering them on thru post season. I remember when they won in 2009, I came into work and you had the biggest smile. I hope your kids are doing well. You were such a good dad. Say hello to Harold for me.
I miss ya. Continue to rest in peace. And sprinkle some magic dust on The Yankees. Maybe we will win this year. Missing ya my friend. Rest in peace.

Eric Schadt

Dear family and friends of Eric Schadt,
I didn't know Eric at all, but bumped up against him on the internet. I share the same name as Eric (I am an Eric Schadt) and had noted a couple of times that the 'eschadt' username was taken, and when I explored one time to see who was taking my username, I found it was Eric.
Given our connection in name and the fact that we are basically the same age, I would search him from time to time on the internet (kind of weird I know, but then always cool to me that there were at least two Eric Schadt's born around the same time running around the U.S.)
So was very saddened today to learn that Eric had died. All my best to Eric's family and thought it might make you smile just a little bit to know the extent to which Eric's life was connected with others.

To all of Eric's family,
I am very sorry to hear of Eric's passing, it was merely day's ago we were playing ball in Dresden, boy scouts, swimming the discharge at the power plant! We had a blast
growing up, the Schadt boys, the Weavers, Delrossa's, the Williamson's, the Brow's, etc...I apologize to leave out the rest of the crew. I just want you all to know how great of a guy Eric was, I know you all know this but it is very humbling for me to have had such a Mayberry town to grow up in. We were quite insulated from the real world or so it seemed and managed wonderful friendships through high school. To Eric's kids, I am very sorry you have lost your Dad, know that he will be keeping an eye on you as only a dad can do.

Eric,
Our childhood in Dresden just flashed by when I heard of your passing. We're walking up from Arrowhead Beach after swimming, bare but for our shorts, and towels around our necks. We have inner tubes slung over our shoulders, some of us pushing them up the hill like giant black spinning doughnuts, as black as the tar on our bare feet. Someone cracks a joke and snaps a towel, and you laugh. You always know how to laugh.
Rest in peace, Eric. And to your family go all my sympathies.

Dear William, Larissa and Colson,
Words can not express my condolences for you at this time. It was three years ago almost to the day that I lost my own father and I can only imagine what you must be going through being so young. Just remember you have the love and support of your wonderful mom and amazing grandmother to help you through this difficult time. My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family.

William, Larissa, Colson -
I knew your father through many events in the Sayville community. He was one special man who was taken from you and this world way too soon. How good of a man he was makes the pain and loss that much worse.
Just remember your father was good to many people in Sayville and I am sure where ever he went.
If you need any help in dealing with the pain and loss just ask your friends and community we are here for you.

I said, "God, I hurt."
And God said, "I know."
I said, "God, I cry a lot."
And God said, "That is why I gave you tears."
I said "God, I am so depressed."
And God said, "That is why I gave you Sunshine."
I said, "God, life is so hard."
And God said, "That is why I gave you loved ones."
I said, "God, my loved one died."
And God said, "So did mine."
I said, "God, it is such a loss."
And God said, "I saw mine nailed to a cross."
I said, "God, but your loved one lives."
And God said, "So does yours."
I said, "God, where are they now?"
And God said, "Mine is on My right and yours will be in the Light."
I said, "God, it hurts."
And God said, "I know."
