Hazel Behen Obituary
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday (November 12) in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may contribute to the Clifton Springs Library or one favorite charity in Hazel's memory.
Hazel was born November 12, 1931 in Clifton Springs, the daughter of the late Ralph and Ethel Allen. She was a graduate of SUNY Utica, where she earned her teaching degree. Hazel retired from MCC after several years of teaching there. Education was very important to Hazel. She was a vivacious reader and would read almost any book put in front of her. But most important to Hazel was her family.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Edward Behen Jr., Colleen (Scot) Behen, and Patrick (Trisha Cobb) Behen; grandchildren, Stephen Pasquale, Sarah Gray, Sean Patrick Behen, Sean Edward Daugherty, Benjamin Daugherty, and Colin Younglove; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Walter Allen and Bernice (Larry) Anderson; several nieces and nephews; many dear friends.
Hazel's family would like to thank Kathy Allen and Carol Allen for there loving friendship with Hazel and all the time they devoted to her.
Hazel is predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Behen Sr.; daughters, Becky Behen Robichaud and Margaret Daugherty.
