Born on March 16, 1940 in Naples, N.Y. to the late William James Freid and Katherine Barbara (Klug) Freid.
Jim is predeceased by his parents and his siblings: Elizabeth "Betty" Habberfield, Doris Freid, Richard Freid and Gene Freid.
Jim is survived by his wife Kay Hurley Freid of Pennsylvania; their children: Joshua (Maritza), Adam, Jessica (Bobby) & Michael Freid; his grandchildren: James, Ella, Layla & Theodore; many grandpets and great-grandpets.
Friends & family are invited to Celebrate Christian Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at St. Januarius Catholic Church in Naples. Burial with committal prayers and full military honors will take place in Rose Ridge Cemetery, Naples.
