Jean LaTulip Obituary

SENECA FALLS– Jean LaTulip died peacefully at home on Thursday, October 19,2023. A visitation will be held on Friday, (October 27), from 11 a.m. to 12 NOON with a funeral service to immediately follow at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Entombment will take place at St. Peter Cemetery & Mausoleum in Oswego, N.Y. Donations in memory may be made to Rochester Regional Health Hospice Care, 330 Monroe Ave., Suite 400, Rochester, N.Y. 14607 or to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

Jean was born in Massena, N.Y. and grew up in nearby Potsdam. She met her husband, Arthur while he attended Clarkson University. Shortly after their marriage, Art entered the US Air Force. Once Art returned from his military service the couple moved to Seneca Falls where Art took employment with Sylvania Electric, retiring in 1989. Jean was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt who cherished every minute she could be with her family. In her younger years, Jean enjoyed homemaking and playing bridge and later as an empty nester she enjoyed painting and crafting, whether alone or with friends. Her creations were sold in the "LaTulippe Boutique" at local shows and gifted to family and friends. She also had a green thumb and always enjoyed gardening. Anyone who knew her knew how her smile could light up a room.

Jean is survived by her son, David (Susan) of Seneca Falls; grandchildren, Daniel, Peter (Bridgette), Matthew (Kristen), and Christopher (Laura) Pirro, Juliann (Brian) Gregor, Ryan (Amanda) LaTulip, Corey (Kimberly) Norton; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur in 2009 and daughter, Susan Pirro in 2010.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Erin Ellison and Rochester Regional Health Hospice for assisting in Jean's care.

Jean was a real life earth Angel. She improved the lives of everyone who knew her. We were so lucky to be her neighbors for 4 short years. We loved every moment of porch talks with her. Her smile, grace and ability to keep going despite what was handed to her stands out to me. She will forever be a beloved friend. Dave & Sue our hearts are with you today, and everyday as you grieve the loss of your mom. The gift of caring and loving her where she wanted to be is far greater than gold. You are now the angels. ❤

The Clock of LIFE is wound but once
and no man has the power
To tell just when the clock will stop
at late or early hour
Now is the time you own
Live Love Toil at will
Place no Faith in Tomorrow
For the Clock may be then be still
