Jennifer McMillin Obituary
There will be no prior calling.
A celebration of life will be held from 12 noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday (February 19) at "The Loft", at Smokin Tails Distillery 3 Church Street, Phelps, N.Y.
It is requested that donations be made in memory of Jennifer to Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 E. River Street, Waterloo NY 13165.
Jennifer was born on July 25, 1974, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of Scott Jones and Georgia Hodge. Jennifer worked for several years with children with disabilities. She also worked at the Phelps Community Center for over five years. Jennifer was an avid animal lover always helping animals in need.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary McMillin of Newark; father, Scott (Beverly) Jones of Akron; mother, Georgia Hodge of Penn Yan; sisters, Heather (Trevor) Wilkins of Clifton Springs and Stacy (Mike) Woodworth of Watkins Glen; as well as several nieces and nephews
Funeral arrangements have been made with the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps.

I still can't believe you've been gone a whole year. Although, I knew you for a short time, I think of you often.

When I think of Jennifer, I remember her as a person who was always willing to help those in need. She was humorous and conscientious. When I was a new employee to Hillside, she trained me and when she left the organization I assumed her position as a DSP III at that location.
The news of her loss was shocking. I am glad she is in a better place, one where suffering is no more.
My prayers to the family.

My beautiful, silly, taco loving, cat owning, cool dress wearing, legging ninja, meme sharing friend. I don't want to believe that you aren't here anymore. Who am I supposed have inappropriate strange conversations with? Who do I talk to, if my chosen sister isn't here anymore? I am going to do what I can to keep moving forward, that's what you always did. Thank you for always loving me no matter what and being there. I promise to take the best care of your kitty, Shiba. I will see you in my dreams. Sleep well sis.
