I oniiily knew him as Jack.. When I learned later in life that his name was John I was so surprised.. He was a good man to his children and to his children's friends. I learned to ski from Jack at their cottage, many wonderful times spent there. RIP JACK

Jack and his wife were parents to thousands and even more kids, when they owned the Lampost. That's where everyone came after a game or dance. It was our hangout. It was like we had parents watching over us. One of the most friendless places in town and good food.God bless you Jack, you will be missed.

A heart of Gold hidden beneath that rough exterior. He was a man to be admired. His real life ended a few years ago but his good deed will always be remembered. The wounds of War pained and hardened Jack but inside he was soft. My sincere condolances to you Millie, and the family

Dear Millie and family,
The Hopkins family wishes to let you know that we will always remember the good times our kids had at the Lampost.
Fred and I often talk about the Frozen Choson and the Marines that went thru hell there. Jack being one of them. He deserves a place in heaven.
