Joseph Minguez Obituary
Friends and family are invited to call Monday (September 26) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 7p.m. Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery, in Seneca Falls at the convenience of the family.
Joseph was born on March 17, 1936 in Seneca Falls, the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Knittle Minguez. He was a 1954 graduate of Romulus High School. He worked as an engineer at Gould's Pumps in Seneca Falls.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 E. River Street, Waterloo, NY 13165.
Everyone knew it was Joseph, as he always had an unlit cigar in his mouth. He loved wood working and dogs and cats.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Brown and JoAnn Peters; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; his partners, Hilda Schlafer and Yvonne Dunham; his sons, Vincent and James Minguez; a brother, Melvin (Joan) Davis; and a grandson, Jeramie Scott Minguez.

I echo the sentiments of Lenny Marr. Joe took the time to teach the "Kids" ( Joe's acronym for younger co-workers) a lot on the manufacturing floor of Goulds Pumps Inc. Rest in Peace my friend and thank you for sharing your extensive manufacturing knowledge and friendship.

I was one of Joe's students at Gould's Pump's. I say student because he was incredibly smart and an amazing teacher. He taught me countless engineering techniques and CNC programming to create amazing finished pump parts from a rough casting. More than that we became great friends and team. I had the utmost respect for Joe and his knowledge. He contributed countless cost saving ideas in our field. He was a great man and person. Love you Joe and someday we will be together again, I'll bring some of those cigar's for you to chew on
