Nancy Kelsey Obituary
Nancy was born in Waterloo on January 4, 1942, a daughter of the late Charles and Irene (nee Porter) Stephens. She started her family at a young age, and then worked in the food service department of Willard Psychiatric Center for several years. She was later married to Norman Kelsey and they spent several years together enjoying their blended families. Nancy never missed an occasion or holiday gathering with her family and always remembered each grandchild on their birthday.
She is survived by her daughters: Terri Taggart of Georgia and Tracey (David) Martz-Hoffman of Geneva; eleven grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, her stepchildren: Claudia Kelsey of Ottawa, Canada, Cheryl (Danny) Kennedy of Milton, Fla.; and her siblings: Bob and Don Stephens, Sue Jennings and Sally Maleski along with a large extended family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy LaGeorge in 2021; husband Norman in 2022; her son, Tommy Martz in 2023; and by siblings: Chuck and Jack Stephens and Linda Keubler.
A Memorial Service will be held at Covert Funeral Home in Ovid at 10:00 a.m. on Friday (October 18). Prayers of committal will be held at NYS Veterans Cemetery-Finger Lakes in Romulus.

I had the pleasure of knowing Nancy when I visited with her on Fridays and delivered her meal. She always had a fun story to tell. I often left her kind of chuckling over that day´s stories.
We had another visit at Huntington. I was not sure she would remember me that day but was delighted when she readily did! Again her fun stories made that time go quickly by. Some of these were glimpses of family times in OK and AZ( I think) but one little thing I carry with me is what she told me one rainy day: walk around the raindrops!
She said her father used to say that. Sweet!
Rest in peace Nancy.
