Tandee A. Jones

GENEVA- Tandee A. Certo Jones of Geneva passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a fierce battle to survive injuries sustained at home.

At Tandee's request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. No donations or flowers are being asked for.

Tandee was born on May 2, 1947 in Geneva to the late Joseph and Loveen Brunson Certo. A graduate of Geneva High school class of 1965 and studied at FLCC. She had always had aspirations, since high school, to be a singer in a band of sorts. That dream eventually came to fruition later in life, and oh how she loved it. After several years she had to stop due to throat issues with her band Borderline Central. But to the very last year of her life, was determined to have that love back. Tandee had also been a dedicated worker for 19 years and NYSEG. She and her late husband were very avid Bills fan and would cheer along with them profusely. Back in the 80's she even became one of the runner-up's in the Mrs. New York State beauty pageant, testifying her grace and beauty. To the end, she made a mockery of her age by holding her youthful beauty, to shock everyone whom dared asked.

Although always loved by her family members, especially the ones she's had been raising Hayden and Riley, her pride and joys and purpose in life, she mourned to her last days the passing of her beloved husband Gary. A brave and beautiful face was always put on to show her strength to those who surrounded her.

She is survived by her dedicated and loving son, Brandon Jones, Sr. of Geneva; her grand-children Erica Jones, Brandon Jones, Jr (Amber), Nicholas Jones, Alison Stratton (Jacob), Logan Jones; as well, by the joys of her life great grand-children, Alexandria and Skyler Jones, Hayden Hernandez and Riley Jones, Adalyn and Jaxen Stratton; siblings, Delaine Certo (California), Joseph Certo (Waterloo) and Trisha Certo (Geneva).

Tandee was predeceased by her husband and High School sweetheart Gary Jones, Sr. , (October 16, 2018) whom were wed on March 4, 1965. At the time of his passing they amazingly had had a long lasting marriage of 53 years (meeting at her age of 13 and he 16); And her first born son and first great achievement, Gary Jones, Jr. (May 17, 2011).

She will forever be in our memories and continue to fill our hearts with her passing, just as she did while gracing this earth, with loving radiance.
