Thomas Carlin Obituary
Tom was born in Rochester, N.Y., on December 21, 1942, the son of the late William H. and Mildred R. Carlin. He graduated from Victor Central School, Alfred State University, the University of Georgia, and Penn State University. He married Carol A. VanDamme in Victor, N.Y., on August 14, 1965. He worked as an AG Economist for the USDA for 30 years until retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Penn Yan United Methodist Church and was very active in the community.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carol A. (VanDamme) Carlin; and numerous nieces, nephews and their offspring.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday (September 24) at 11 a.m. at the Penn Yan United Methodist Church, 166 Main St., Penn Yan, NY 14527.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tom's memory to a charity of one's choice.

We were so shocked to hear of Tom's passing. We worked on his tractor for a few years that he always mowed his 4 acres+ with. We considered him a friend. I always admired him delivering Meals on Wheels. He really enjoyed it. We were glad to know him and he will be missed by many. Prayers to Carol.
