Thomas LaBelle Obituary

ROMULUS– Thomas J. LaBelle, 81, passed away, Wednesday, February 14, at Pathway Home, after a brief illness.

Tom's family request memorial contributions be directed to either: Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 East River Street, Waterloo, N.Y. 13165 or Pathway Home Of The Finger Lakes, P.O. Box 516, Seneca Falls, N.Y. 13148-0516.

Friends and family are invited to call Tuesday, February 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia St., Waterloo. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring in New York State Veterans' Cemetery – Finger Lakes, Romulus.

Thomas was born March 21, 1942 in Sodus, the son of the late George and Katherine (Bennett) LaBelle. He served our country in the US Navy, earning the rank of BT3. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Seneca County Highway Department until his retirement. Tom was a charter member and still active in the Finger Lakes Conservation Club. He enjoyed camp in Redfield N.Y.

He is survived by his wife Carol (Kriegelstein) whom he married May 4, 1973; daughters Brenda (Jeff Bradford) Davoli and Dawn (Kenneth) Wilmes; seven grandchildren; brothers Terrence (Ruth) and Timothy (Deb) LaBelle; sister-in-law Connie LaBelle; his dog Serena; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his daughter, Dorothy "Dodie"; his brother, George "Ted" LaBelle.

I am so sorry to hear of Tommys passing. He and Carol and John and I spent many, many days together and evenings around our kitchen table for years. He worked with John, I worked with Carol.. Its hard losing best friends... My love to Carol and Dawn and Brenda, and the whole family.. Prayers for comfort.. Love you all. Im sure he and John have already picked up where they left off.... God bless you all.....

I´m so sorry to read about Tom´s passing I went to school with Tom but had t seen him in yrs. Until he and Carol came to our class reunion. I enjoyed talking to them so much
