Thomas Warnick Obituary

SODUS– Thomas A. Warnick, age 65, passed away Thursday, (November 9, 2017) at the Pathway Home in Seneca Falls, N.Y. Thomas is survived by his companion in life, Holly Sutherland; Holly's daughter, Marcy; her son, Dustin (Rachael); grandchildren Graham and Tessa; Tom's sons Alex and Nicholas; and their mother, Zandra; sisters-in-law, Laura Warnick, Melody Hitchner; niece, Jess(Tanya); nephews David and Andrew.

Tom was predeceased by his parents Dell and Virginia Warnick; older brother, Dell; and younger brother, Matthew.

Tom's grandfather, Alvin Thomas was a founding member of Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club and Tom was a member there for much of his life. He was Deputy Wayne County Treasurer for 6 years before he was elected Wayne County Treasurer in 1987 at the age of 34. Tom also served as Vice-Chairman of the Wayne County Republican Committee and was a retired Merchant Marine Captain.

Tom was a loving person who cared for those around him. He will be missed but never forgotten. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, (November 25) at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 4057 Main Street, Williamson, NY. Contributions may be made in Tom's memory to Pathway Home, PO Box 516, Seneca Falls, NY 13148 and/or Wilmot Cancer Institute, Dr. Tejani Research Fund, PO Box 278996, Rochester, NY 14627.
