Sarah and Bill my heart breaks as a parent at the thought of you having to lay to rest one of your sons. Although I haven't had contact with Tim in several years the friendship we shared as kids will last a lifetime. Our friendship began while we both attended Saint Mary's in Waterloo . Tim and I shared a love for the outdoors and we enjoyed many week nights and weekends either fishing or catching bait for fishing. Like Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn we explored every nook and cranny of the Seneca canal and its tributaries. We loved to bass fish and dreamed of being professional fisherman someday. Some of the best memories I can recall were pulling good sized brown trout out of the creeks around the Waterloo locks! We spent weekends fishing out of Tim's canoe that we would load in Bill's station wagon and he would drive it down to the canal supporting our adventure. I also remember the many trips we took to the Seneca Army depot. We would spend the day catching large mouth bass and calling wild turkeys from the road. We also spent many days ice fishing. My fondest memory was when Tim and I went to East Bay . We set up Tim's tip ups with pike shiners and passed the time by cooking Tim's favorite lipton rice on a homemade stove that we made from a Maxwell coffee can. We caught several fish that day including a northern pike over 25 inches and a good sized large mouth bass. I will cherish those days. Rest in peace my old friend I hope you catch all the bass of your dreams!
