William Carragher Obituary
Bill graduated from Geneva High School in 1973 and moved to the southeast coast of Florida and never returning to Geneva, only to visit his mother.
Bill was self-employed as DC Enterprises responsible for household repairs and maintenance. His Northeast work ethic was truly appreciated in his line of work in Florida.
He met Julie Burny and was head over heels in love with her upon first meeting. They were married in October 1997 until her passing in April 2020. They had a life filled with adventure, both were avid scuba divers and traveled to many locations to try out the diving. Like his mother, Bill had achieved most of his bucket lists as well. Bill had joined his mother (Barbara Carragher) and sister (Terry Carragher) on the rafting trip on the Colorado. Water skiing and cooking were also some of his past time activities that he truly enjoyed. He would cook up a storm every Thanksgiving with an open invitation to anyone who didn't have family nearby. And oh Bill's house always had at least two Golden Retrievers over the years and all seemed to be addicted to that yellow bouncing tennis ball.
He was predeceased by his father and his wife. His mother Barbara Carragher passed away on February 21, 2026.
Bill is survived by his sister Terry Carragher and his many friends and cousins.
A memorial service for William and his mother (Barbara Carragher), will be held in the Spring.
Donations in their memory may be made to the 1st United Methodist Church in Geneva N.Y.
