William Smith Obituary

SENECA FALLS - William E. Smith, 69, lifelong Seneca Falls resident, passed at his home on Thursday, July 24, 2025. All services are private for Bill and will take place at the convenience of his family.

Bill was born in Seneca Falls, son of George and Ruth (Edington) Smith. For 30 years, Bill had worked for Stevers garage in Seneca Falls as a mechanic. In the early 2000's, due to some health problems, Bill was forced to retire. Later in life, Bill found many creative ways to keep his mind engaged. He liked to build and design with Legos, and he enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles. He also loved to sit and watch the birds from his home.

Bill is survived by his mother, Ruth Conley; daughter, Stacey (Dustin) Grant; brother, Charles (Beverly) Smith; nieces, nephews, 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and extended family. Bill was predeceased by his father, George; sons, Michael and Dusty Smith; brother, Robert Smith; and sister, Deborah Horton.
