Van Langdon Obituary
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeri C. Langdon of Cumming; daughter, Laurie Love of Atlanta; son, John Paul Langdon of Atlanta; stepfather, William Randall Mershon of Portsmouth, R.I.; sister, Diana Langdon of West Warwick, R.I.; and brother, Victor Langdon of Thailand.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 20, from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org or to any veterans' organization.
Condolences may be expressed online at www.mcdonaldandson.com.
McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

With the rest of my brother rats, I too extend my condolences to to you and Tom's family. I remember Tom as the person who's spirit was the personification of exception to the regime of the VMI and remember him that way. Ed Fox '61.

The purpose of life is not to be happy, it is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have made some difference that you lived and lived well.

Jeri, Laurie & John,
My cousin Thomas was a wonderful man. So entertaining but also had a serious side to him. I will miss his great emails. I will miss his great sense of humor. I will miss HIM. Our deepest sympathies...

Tom was one of the most `wild & crazy' friends I ever had - with a love of life and a heart of gold. We were Brother Rats at VMI and lifetime friends after.
