He was born on September 15, 1937 in Genoa, CO, to Glennwood William and Leola Fern (Tanner) Crabb. He grew up in Genoa and attended Liberty School, later obtaining his GED.
Norman married Marjorie Smith on October 7, 1955 in Raton, NM. To this union 6 children were born.
Norman worked for CDOT for a number of years, retiring after a long, fulfilling career.
Norman enjoyed reading, hunting, and woodworking. He especially enjoyed watching Jeopardy with Marj, and spending time with his grandchildren. Norman was a very patriotic person, so very proud to be an American with two grandsons serving in the U.S. Army.
Norman will be sorely missed by the love of his life, his wife of 56 years, Marj Crabb of New Raymer; their six children, Robin Crabb and his wife, Paula of Burlington, Rhonda Cox of Brush, Steven Crabb of Alliance, NE, Kathy Giedd and her husband, Kevin of Burlington, Susan Bowser and her husband, David of Colorado Springs, and Teresa Dabbs and her husband, Charles of Fort Morgan. Norman is also survived by his siblings, Lois Goldsberry of Strasburg, Virginia Bruch and her husband, Carl Richard of Littleton, Darroll Crabb and his wife, Nina Bratcher of Johnstown, and Larry Crabb and his wife, Susie of Parker. 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren also survive him as well as special friends, Jim and Shelli Krager and their 3 sons, of New Raymer.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; his half sister, Sharon Macfarland; his brother-in-law, Dale Goldsbury; and his granddaughter, Maegan Bowser.
Memorial services to celebrate Norman's life will be held at the New Raymer Baptist Church on Monday, July 9th, at 11:00 a.m. Services will conclude at the church.
Memorial donations may be made in Norman's name and sent to Heer & Dahl Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
