Aaron, although I did not know you long, you had an everlasting effect on my life. I think of you often, and hope Angela is doing well.

I am so sorry to have just learned about the passing of Aaron. Although I did not know him long, I will miss him and his great sense of humor and positivity. I first met Aaron when he replied to a story I sent on behalf of the Director of the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research. We were then blessed to have Aaron speak at our Hammer Down Cancer luncheon last fall. In all of his hardship, Aaron somehow made each person there feel special and inspired. His love for Angela and his testament to what an amazing wife she was is also something I will never forget. An amazing young life gone way too soon. God bless you and your family.

Trinda, I am so truly sorry for your loss. You have endured more heartbreak than any parent should have to with the loss of not one but two children. May God embrace you during your time of great sorrow. I will continue to keep you and Gabe in my prayers and may God provide peace in your heart in the days to come.

I met Aaron through his wife Angela. Angela and I worked together for 3 years. When Aaron got sick Angela was there every step of the way. We would trade shifts so that she could go to his appointments with him. His treatments changed frequently so at times it was difficult for Angela to plan her schedule around them. So there was a time when Aaron had treatments consecutive days in a row and Angela was scheduled to work. I offered to drive him to his appointments drop him off and pick him up when he was done. Angela has hesitant at first, she did not want to inconvience me, but I insisted. The first day I picked him up he came walking down the stairs with a million dollar smile. After five minutes I felt like I had known him forever. Aaron was one of those people that was easy to feel comfortable with and we were never short of topics of conversation. On one of our trips he told me Angela asked what we talked about, he told her we talked about her. Although we talked about politics, religion, bugs, family, cancer, his favorite topic was Angela and his love for her. When he would talk about her I would feel myself start to get emotional and think what two lucky people to have met and fallen in love. What started out as a favor to a friend, became one of the most rewarding friendship I have ever had . Although I have not known you long Aaron you will remain in my heart forever. When I would drop Aaron off at his appointments I would text Angela and say "the eagle has landed" so she would know he arrived ok, I did the same thing when I dropped him off at home. So one last time Angela " the eagle has landed" this time in heaven. Aaron you will be missed.

I will remember Aaron's warm smile and terrific bear hugs. He was a young man of faith and courage. I first met Aaron when he and my son played football in the 7th grade, and on through high school together. He never gave up, on or off the field. Rest in peace, Aaron. Keep smiling in heaven.
