I was so saddned to hear of Alvernas passing. Although I only knew her from grooming her beloved Hollister, I could tell she was such a sweet person. May she RIP.

Jan was a wonderful person. She always made me feel welcome in her home. While I was growing up she made me feel like part of the family. I know she will be greatly missed by all who knew her and especially by her family.

I will always remember Jan or Saint Jan as I liked to call her as she never tired of doing good works or helping people. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and friend and the kind of person I would like to be like. She loved her church and being a Christian. I know her little dog Holister will greatly miss her too.

I will miss one of the most encouraging people I've ever known -- our lives are enriched by knowing Jan... from the time when I met my husband-to-be at her home, to the many SkipBo games with Aunt Leona, to crocheting during Dallas, our trip to Orlando, and everything in between... I am blessed by your warm embrace... Margie
