ARTHUR STERLING Obituary
ARTHUR W. STERLING, 88, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Heritage Park Health Care Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he work-ed as a Regional Salesperson with Fortmey ers Tire Center and after retirement worked for Fort Wayne Community Schools. He served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II. He was a member of the V.F.W. Fort Miami Post 10006 and Fort Wayne Ski Club; was a participant of the 2010 honor flight; and was a HAM radio operator. Surviving are his spouse, Joan Dodge-Sterling of Fort Wayne; son, Steven Sterling of Bloomington; daughters, Deborah (Maurice) Pierce of Papillion, Neb. and Sandra Sterling of Fort Wayne; grandson, Ian Arthur Sterling of Fort Wayne; and brother, Berton (Marcella) Sterling Jr. of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Berton Sr. and Netti Mundt-Sterling. Service is 10 a.m. Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
