Caroline Victory Obituary

Caroline (Rothman) Victory, passed away in hospice after a four-month battle with pancreatic cancer on October 21, 2025, in Cleveland with her mother by her side.

She was born on November 8, 1973 in Boston and was raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she attended the Canterbury School and Homestead High School. She continued her education at Smith College and later at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

Curious and well-read, a deep thinker and an artist, she designed innovative fashions and, in her later years, created beautiful handbags and quilts. Caroline was also an animal lover, devoted to Delilah, the horse at her therapy barn. She was known as the "horse whisperer" because they all recognized her voice.

After she received her diagnosis, Caroline was determined to face her illness with grace and dignity. Throughout that difficult time, she stayed with her mother and had frequent visits from her father, brother and cherished relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

Caroline is survived by her mother, Margaret Wilson of Sun City Center, Florida, and Culver, Indiana, her father, Dr. Peter Rothman (Beverly) of Fort Wayne, her brother Wilson Rothman (Jennifer Laird) of Montclair, New Jersey, and her niece and nephew.

To honor Caroline, the family suggests making donations to In Step With Horses in Chesterland, Ohio.
