CHAD WILLIAMS Obituary

CHAD E. WILLIAMS, 45, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at home, with his loving family at his side, after being diagnosed in 2004 with Multiple Sclerosis. He was a native and lifetime resident of Fort Wayne. Chad had worked at Tippman Pneumatics for several years. He was a member of Northridge Baptist Church. He faced every day with a positive attitude and was an inspiration to his family. Taking his daughter to the zoo, watching her graduate, attending her wedding and spending time with his family, were some of his greatest life moments. Chad enjoyed reading, listening to music and enjoyed spending time at the lake. Surviving are his mother, Pam (Jim) Williams-Hiser of Fort Wayne; father, Roland (Glora) Williams of Richmond, Ind.; daughter, Marissa (Nathan) Carpenter of Fort Wayne; sisters, Cammy (Darren) Dennison of Jeffersonville, Ind. and Amy Williams, Carol (Tom) Sappenfield; brothers, Bruce (Traci) Williams, Mark (Joy) Williams, Bret (Nancy) Williams, and Chris (Brenda) Williams; grandfather, Ed Roy of Fort Wayne; and nephews, Brice, Drew and Matt. Service is 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Gary Green officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Churubusco, Ind. Chad was not just a father_in law. he was my best friend. I only got to know him for five years, but they were the best. you taught me how to joke, pick on, and more importantly love your daughter, love you Chad. (bird is the word)

To Marissa, Pam, Cammy, and the family, know that I am holding you in heart and prayer as you say goodbye to Chad until you meet again. May Chad know the joy of walking and even running like he has not done for many years. He is free and we are sad, but God is welcoming him with open arms. Please be assured of my support.

How does one capture a life well lived? Chad inspired me most with his sense of humor and integrity with Truth. I remember on one visit, where Chad was sitting in his wheelchair, looking at his nurse with that sparkle in his eyes and saying: "Just remember, you only get to drop me one time in a 24 hour period." He told me that he realized he had two choices. The first to feel sorry for himself or the second to try to keep a sense of humor and accept his M.S. He chose the later. He was a man of integrity, when the Truth needed to be spoken and for that I will remember him always. Go with God's speed my dear Chad for you have indeed lived life well, even with the M.S.
Love,
Jacque
