Charles Stotlar Obituary

CHARLES "BUD" STOTLAR, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at home. Born in Fort Wayne, he retired as a leadman with Casad Railway Service in 1987, formerly having worked for Mobile Aerial Towers. He was a member of the American Legion and Apostolic Jesus Name Church. He enlisted in the Army Air Force and then served and retired as Staff Sgt. with the U.S. Air Force in Korea and Vietnam. He loved his family and grandchildren, enjoyed airplane models and western movies. Survivors include his wife, Betty E. Stotlar of Fort Wayne; sons, Wesley A. (Carrie) Stotlar and Timmie L. Stotlar, both of Fort Wayne and David T. (Cynthia) Stotlar of Avilla; daughter, Faith R. (Michael) Brandt of South Carolina; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Connie A. (Stanley) DePew and Carolyn Sue (Norman T.) Gaff, both of Fort Wayne; and sister, Roberta L Wells. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Maxine, in 1978; five sisters; and two brothers. Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, with Bishop Mike Morimanno officiating. Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials to Apostolic Jesus Name Church Missions.
