CHRISTOPHER CALDWELL Obituary
CHRISTOPHER TY-RON CALDWELL, of Fort Wayne, departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at Parkview Hospital. He was born on Oct, 27, 1990. He is survived by his parents, Robin (DeeDee) Caldwell and Rodney "Rocky" and Diveeta Thompson; sisters, Marshayla and Imani; brothers, Drake and Durand; and grandparents, Mitchell and Jinniel Wyatt, James and Fannie Caldwell, and Joseph and Earnestine Thomas. Service is noon Saturday at Southern Heights Baptist Church, 4001 South Anthony Blvd., with viewing from 10 a.m. to noon.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Another memory to share of Chris...
Chris- Kayla and I just had dinner and we sat sharing stories of the laughter you brought to the house... Remeber that day I made lasagna and Kayla you, and I where all over town running about, not sure why we where out but we where... By the time we got back home we where all STARVING... but not a word was ever said... We pulled into the garage and all three jumped out of the car... We bee lined for the kitchen without a word said You went straight for the plates, Kayla went straight for the forks, and I went straight to the oven to pull out the lasagna and dish it on the plates... I swear within 2mins. we all where sitting at the table in our seats with our plates and forks... At the same time we all three stopped for a second looked and realized what had just happened.. we laughed so hard- That was a great moment shared...
This evening at dinner we shared many thoughts of you and smiled the whole way through... For all you friends and family of Chris- WE Kayla and I (becky) where not allowed to make kool-aide in the house Chris was the King of the kool-aide reign... And boy did he use the surgar... I couldnt keep the cupboards loaded with enough... Kayla shared the time she made it with Splenda YUCK!!! Chris spood that out all over the counter- and just gave her the look!!
Chris we miss you and love you...
I hope you shake the heavens above as much as you shaked the stairs as you came running, tumbling and/or jumping five steps down them at a time...
Chris you will live in our hearts forever and your smile with us each day...

Baby, I can not explain the way that I feel right now. Its weird not getting a phone call or txt everyday. I cry all the time because everything that I do reminds me of you because we did so much together. I hug every bear you've given me, wear every clothing item left at my house, and lay under this warm blanket I took from you lol. Listening to the recordings of our conversations or the voicemails left even reading our txt hurt deep. I've finally allowed myself to accept that your gone, but only because I know one day we will meet again. I love you Chris

it's hard to expect the fact that your gone. i can't picture life without you. you were like my crazy and fun big cousin that i longed to be with every chance that i got.i love you and will i never go a day without thinking about you. chris are will never be forgotten and your joyful spirit shall live on!! to the family i am truly sorry for your loss. chris was a wonderful person. he was always lifting others up in their time of need. my prayers go out to you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have no words which could bring comfort in such a time. As a mother, I am praying for you and your family. I watched Rodney's empty seat in the Graduation ceremony in June and weeped. I cheered my son on and mourned the loss of yours. May God hold and carry you in the palm of His hand now and always.

Chris you are already missed... You came into our family as one of us. We considered you a part, a brother and a son. Kayla misses you and Nick is struggling, as I am too.. Chris I ve considered you one of my own children you have a very special spot in my heart and always will. Chris's Smile lit the room no matter the day. He cheered Kayla and me up all the time. Kayla always said he was the best thing every day cuz he made us laugh- We like to smile alot. We laughed and played so much.. He looked out for Kayla and I when we needed it most. He help us around the house and helped Kayla with her homework when she needed it.
My favorite time I spent with Chris was the day him and I went to the zoo- we had so much fun I think we spent 5 hrs there- how in the world do you do that, especially with a teenage boy?? LOL We looked at every animal he got to see a tiger up close he was amazed... Then we saw this alligator it looked like a statue then it moved LOL Chris Jumped so high and took off running I never laughed so hard in my life..We laughed for days after that.. He loved the aquarium the blow fish caught his eye, but he DID NOT like the bats they scared the jibbers out of him... another running experience for him.. That boy could run LOL
Chris was such delight to have around the house he liked to cook.. We cooked every Sunday, we tried new desserts and new dishes that was our goal.. I remember he made this sweet potato casserole it sounded great smelled good, but didnt taste so hot... it was funny..Chris did make alot of great dishes though that we ate up... Mmmm Mmmm good...
Oh then day we where cleaning out the garage... He had to chase me down the hill and save me from broken everythings.. We found a pair of roller blades and my silly self thought it be great to try- Take some advice dont do it on an inclined driveway... I went flying down the slope at high speeds.. Chris came running to same me before I fell on my face, and got taken out by a car- He took em from and band me for life from ever putting those on again.. My reply "well I tried it" thats all I needed... LOL
For all of you who have been touched by Chris's presence in your life you know what a great kid he was, silly kid, and so smart... If I could have had a 10th of his brain I would be dangerous- I use to tell him that all the time...
