Chris was truly a Christian man. He was the first to help those in difficult situations. It has been so difficult to accept his death as he had to much to give to his family and society. He is sorely missed.

Chris was a favorite at Oakview and Cedar Creek. I'll never forget the one time I got carried away with teaching and caused my students to miss their buses. I immediately started calling parents and guess who came to assist. Chris shared the calling and was so helpful in solving my dilemma. I'll always remember him as a hard working, honest and caring person. I surely will miss him. May God grant you comfort and lasting peace. Sheila Kiefer

Chris was one of my students in Educational Leadership at IPFW, when I taught there from 2000-2006, and was then let go with the rest of the Ed Leadership faculty. I cared about my student too, so I can understand what a loss this is. I think that an event like this is something we are never ready for, and I am at a loss as far as what to say. I enjoyed having Chris in class. I remember him vividly stopping by my office and telling me how much he appreciated having me as a professor. He said that he especially enjoyed my T555 class. It was a pleasure to meet him and to have him on board in several of my classes, which he said he took because he enjoyed my classes that much. This meant a great deal to me to hear this. I know that he will be missed. I am just grateful to know that the bible says that there is a purpose for everything, even though we do not always understand. My prayer for the family is that they will find peace and strength through this time of adversity; turning this over to God now; whose hands in which Chris surely now lies. It was a blessing to know him. It was a blessing to have him in my classes.
