CLIFFORD "BUD" MILLER Jr.

CLIFFORD "BUD" MILLER, JR., of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011. Born May 8, 1928 in Evansville, Ind., he was the son of Beatrice and Clifford Miller. He grew up in Evansville, graduated from Evansville Reitz High School in 1946 and from Lockyears Business College with a degree in Business and Sales Management. He began his career in the Wholesale Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning Business 56 years ago, as the Manager of F.H. Langsenkamp Company in Indianapolis, later he transferred to the Fort Wayne branch as Manager. After 30 years of service with F.H. Langsenkamp, and upon retirement, he decided to go into business for himself. For the past 26 years, he has been the Owner/CEO of Bud Miller Supply (Johnstone Supply), Fort Wayne, Ind. He attended The Chapel in Fort Wayne. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of VFW, Post 857. He was an avid Colts and Bears fan. He met his first wife, Joan Stutsman in Evansville, Ind. They were married for 45 years until her death in 1995. In February, 2000 he married Floretta "Freddie" Teel, she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Peggy (Bill) Schwartz of Kingman, Ariz. and Ruthie Miller-Sauce of Fort Wayne; two sons, Dr. Joseph (Debbie) Miller of Horseheads, N.Y. and Clifford Miller, III of Roanoke; grandchildren, Hugh Schwartz, Wesley Schwartz, Eric Thiel, Joseph Miller, Crystal Ward, Ashley Barth and Maggie Mensch; great-grandchildren, Heather Schwartz, Rachael Schwartz, Casey Opper, Jr. and Lyla Ward; stepchildren, Barbara (Tony) Bagent of Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Thomas (Tish) Teel of Fort Wayne and Susan (Chris) Hursh of Fort Wayne; stepgrandchildren, Jessica Lucas, Brad Lucas, Madison Hursh, Nicholas Hursh, Maria Teel and Ethan Teel; and sister, Wanda (Charles) Kemper of Evansville. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Miller. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011 at The Chapel, 2505 W. Hamilton Road with calling one hour prior.
