DALE E. HARSHMAN

DALE E. HARSHMAN, 59, of Decatur, passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at Adams Memorial Hospital. Dale was born Aug. 1, 1954 the son of the late Daniel E. and Anna V. Siemik in Bluff-ton, Ind. He married Kathleen M. (Snyder) on Oct. 21, 1983. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. He was a heavy equipment operator with Local Union 103. "He was a hard working and dedicated husband and father." He loved spending time with grandkids, an aviation enthusiast and fisherman. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen M. Harshman of Decatur; two daughters, Shelby N. (Randy) Schumm of New Haven, and Sarah E. (Jonathan) Crisp of Van Wert, Ohio; two sons, Spencer D. and Scott A. Harshman both of Decatur; two grandchildren, Adelle and Zander Crisp, and two expected grandchildren in February; and two sisters. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior in the parish hall. Father Patrick Joseph and Deacon Jerry Kohrman officiating. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 at Haggard, Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, with a reciting of the Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
