DAN SCHLICHTER Obituary

DAN W. SCHLICHTER, 62, passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Dan worked with General Electric for 25 years. He was also a member of ALPHA Association A-212. Dan loved his family, and fishing at the lake year round. Surviving are his wife, Terry Schlichter of Orland, Ind.; mother, M. Maxine Schlichter of Ossian; daughters, Melanie (Terry) Brannum and Kay Maxwell, both of Amarillo, Texas; son, Donald Blackburn of Orland; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Drew, Keith, Fred, Ted, Rex and Jim Schlichter; sisters, Sue Crawford and Nancy Haley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Samuel J. Schlichter. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road.
