DENNY KNITTER Obituary

DENNY KNITTER, 63, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014. Born in Normal, Ill., he worked as a systems engineer with Verizon for 40 years, retiring in 2010. He was a member of Pheasants Forever. Denny enjoyed hunting, fishing, soccer, his Bass boat, the St. Louis Cardinals, and loved his family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Marsha Knitter of Fort Wayne; sons, Tim (Anna) Knitter and Brian (Katie) Knitter, both of Fort Wayne, and Michael (Lori) Knitter of Huntertown; mother, Eva Knitter of Normal, Ill.; brother, Steve (Meredith) Knitter of Bloomington, Ill.; sister, Lisa Knitter of Normal, Ill.; grandchildren, Zachary, Haley, Jacob, Isabella, Braxton, Raena, and Hattie; nephew and niece, Jeff and Lyndsey; and his faithful hunting companion, Tessa. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Knitter. Service is 10 a.m. Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be made for the hunting preservation, c/o Marsha Knitter.
