DOROTHY MEYER Obituary

DOROTHY MEYER, 98, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Fort Wayne, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Singer) Kline. Dorothy graduated from South Side High School. She was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles of all types. Surviving are her children, Patricia (Rev. Gordon) Samra, Diana Beery and Michael (Barbara) Meyer; grandchildren, Todd Samra, Aaron Samra, Valerie Beery, and Laura (David) Mizicko; six great- grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Meyer; children, Linda Sue Meyer and Scott Meyer; son-in-law, Thomas Beery; and siblings Walter Kline Jr., Evelyn Trietsch, and Naomi McNett. Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at FairHaven Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the funeral home. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
